By using Ziarah.sg ("the service"), you agree to these terms. The service is operated by Kanze Pte Ltd, a private limited company registered in Singapore.

1. Nature of the service

Ziarah.sg is a free, community-sourced directory of Muslim graves in Singapore's public cemeteries. It is not an official registry and is not affiliated with the National Environment Agency (NEA), any mosque, any religious authority, or any government body. For authoritative burial records, contact NEA directly.

2. No guarantee of accuracy

Records are contributed by members of the public and reviewed by volunteer moderators. Data may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Plot numbers, dates, and locations should be verified independently before acting on them. We accept no liability for loss, distress, or inconvenience arising from reliance on our data.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information.
  • Submit records for persons who are not buried at the listed cemetery.
  • Upload photographs that are not of the grave marker, or that contain people other than incidental passers-by.
  • Use the service to harass, stalk, or identify private individuals.
  • Scrape the service at scale, automate submissions, or bypass the CAPTCHA.
  • Use the service for commercial purposes (including republishing records on a paid platform) without written permission.

4. Content ownership

You retain ownership of photographs and notes you submit. By submitting, you grant Kanze Pte Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute the content for the purpose of operating the service. You warrant that you have the right to submit the content.

5. Moderation and removal

We reserve the right to reject any submission, remove any published record, and suspend or block users who violate these terms.

6. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Kanze Pte Ltd, its officers, employees, and volunteers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Kanze Pte Ltd against any claim arising from your submissions or your violation of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days in advance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
